Jennifer Josephmarie

Jennifer Josephmarie is a teacher of French as a foreign language, holding a MEEF master's in Teaching in France and Abroad (INSPÉ Cergy, 2023–2025) and a degree in psychology with a developmental specialism from Université Sorbonne Paris Nord. A native French speaker and Tamil bilingual, she also holds B2 English and B1 Spanish.

Her teaching experience has been built in varied and demanding settings. She has taught at the Alliance française in India, taking adult non-francophone learners from A1 to C1, adapting teaching materials to a plurilingual context, and preparing students for the DELF examinations. She has also worked as a primary school teacher in France, developed teaching sequences for young learners, and taken part in a university exchange at Leiden University in the Netherlands, where she led French classes for non-francophone pupils. An Erasmus placement at the O. Kalpaka school in Liepāja, Latvia, gave her first-hand experience of the practices of a foreign education system.

Her training in developmental psychology enriches her teaching with a fine understanding of how learning works and how groups behave, an asset that matters particularly in multicultural environments. Her work as a French-Tamil interpreter at the CPAM further strengthens her ability to operate precisely at the interface of two languages and two cultures.

At ESIP Primary she teaches French across Pre-UKG and UKG. Her command of Tamil lets her establish an immediate pedagogical and cultural link with the children, which at this age is what makes a second language feel approachable rather than foreign.
